NHS Support of the Arts

Greek art has had a profound effect on humanity throughout the ages and continues to play a role in modern life. NHS support of the arts is a means to reach beyond the Greek American community to the mainstream. NHS has supported the National Shakespeare Theatre’s modern adaptation of an ancient Euripides’ classic, ION and the development of a documentary series, “The Athenians and Americans” (password: athens) which explores the affect of ancient Athenian democracy on America’s founding fathers and American democracy. NHS is also undertaking joint collaborative efforts with other organizations to support the arts.
